The Spring recital was like a delicious cream cheese frosting flavored with orange zest! (my favorite kind!) Students had been working on their pieces since Christmas to prepare. They were very familiar with their music, and many had memorized their pieces. Recitals are a great opportunity for developing skills and self-confidence as well as acceptance of self. It’s a time to evaluate how to improve for teacher, student and parent. It’s also a time to enjoy – a time to feel gratitude – a time to notice achievement – a time to recognize the wonder of each individual child.
